On Thursday, 30th October, 2025, educational activities were held at the EADPPA kindergarten within the framework of the English Lesson. The “trick or treat” party drove young and old crazy with its fun, games and treats. From early morning, the kindergarten was filled with witches, ghosts, spiders, bats, pumpkins, dragons and all sorts of fantastic creatures, ready for trick or treat!

The celebration of Halloween, an international celebration which brings people closer, becomes a rich educational experience. Emphasis is placed on the process and the children’s active involvement is achieved in an educational context which is meaningful as well as exciting for the children. 

Halloween offers opportunities for

 (a) active participation (e.g., the children organize their own party),

(b) collaboration with the children’s families and the community (trick or treat), and

(c) intercultural communication (to get to know customs and traditions of a different culture and develop the necessary respect).
